Natalie Roseman
A Central Illinois artist re-inspired by the calm created by the chaos. I was raised and trained by art teachers to educate through art. Through art we solve problems. Maybe the problem started as simple as making the best out of a tough time. In the end this body of work transitioned from loosening up after taking a hiatus from fulltime artist to strictly day job. We are resigned now to winter, spring and summer breaks but always working on something every moment wishing things would slow down long enough to stare at coffee stains.
During the pandemic I was able to focus on art using pareidolia and a cold cup of coffee reconnecting her with the desire to create a body of work that was a personal, unpredictable, adventure. With a background in education taught by many teachers I took in lessons as I needed to over time to put into a near daily practice of sitting in a near meditative state at times to take a small bit of organic chaos and create something worth closer examination.
